Day 1 : Airport to Sigiriya & relax. Experience Sri Lankan rural life. Spend time with the villagers and understand their lifestyles. Engage in many rural activities that are part of the everyday lives of the villagers; such as oxen cart rides, a catamaran rides and a walk through the fields.


Day 2 : Travel to ancient city of Polonnaruwa. Jeep safari in Minneriya/Kaudulla/Eco National Park to view wild elephants. Polonnaruwa is the second capital of Sri Lanka in the 11th and 12th centuries. You will visit the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Lankatilleke Vihare (3rd century AD) the Thuparama Dagoba and the Gal Vihare, three splendid statues of the Buddha in upright, sedant and recumbent postures carved out of a large rock. Other interesting sights are the Lotus Bath, Tivanke Image House with the best known Buddhist frescoes of Sri Lanka, and man-made Parakarama Samudra built by Parakarama Bahu the great. 


Day 3 : Visit Sigiriya & climb the rock fortress. Sigiriya Rock Fortress is located on a flat surface of a gigantic gneiss rock that towers dramatically. Its vertical walls rises up forming a kingdom of Kassapa where now only the ruins of an ancient civilization exist. In addition, in order to get there, if you are brave enough, you will have to climb a series of staircases that are attached to rock walls. Once you enter the fort, you will get to witness the ruins, frescoes and water gardens around the premises and the sight of the magnificent rolling hills and forest from the fort will simply baffle you.


Day 4 : Travel to Galle & relax at the beach.

Galle Fort, is situated in the the Bay of Galle on the south coast of Sri Lanka. It was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, and then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. The Galle Fort has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site under criteria IV, for its unique exposition of an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries.


Day 5 : Travel to Yala National park. Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s premier wildlife destinations. Encompassing a vast area of scrub jungle, brackish lagoons and spectacular rock monoliths, the park can boast one of the largest populations of leopards in the world, with many of the young males often seen walking along the trails during the day. There are also substantial numbers of elephants, as well as wild buffalo, pangolins and crocs and a rich diversity of birds that include lesser flamingos, paradise flycatchers and crested hawk eagles.


Day 6 : Travel to Galle & relax at the beach.


Day 7 : Travel to Colombo city, visit mangrove river safari at Balapitiya on the way. Colombo receives all international travelers and a stay here will not be a hassle at all. The city has good transportation system, al fresco cafes and well-maintained hotels. It is also a good place to soak in the lively ambience of the city’s nightlife with drinks and music. You can have Colombo street foods experience when you are doing the Colombo city tour. Drive on to Marine Drive for a unique tea tasting experience before stopping for a local favourite, Kottu Rotti.Later proceed to pettah market for shopping . Sri Lanka is known for manufacturing high quality clothes at affordable prices.
After Colombo city tour proceed to airport.
